First Heathland Knits yarn

🇬🇧 Of course, I did some dyeing here and there, like the “Fristi Delight” Color that I used in the Westknits Mystery KAL from 2020. This was dyeing for myself when I was in need for a specific color that I was missing for a project that I was about to knit.

But this nice Bio-Merino Aran weight yarn was one of the first nature inspired Heathland Knits yarns that I dyed for someone else. It was a special one of a kind color for a birthday present. Requested was a yarn for a not-black hat that still was not too shouty … but also not boring. I called this color “Jungle Flame”

I knitted the “Windschief” hat, designed by Westknits from the skein.

🇩🇪 Natürlich habe ich hier und da ein bisschen gefärbt, wie zum Beispiel die Farbe “Fristi Delight”, die ich im Westknits Mystery KAL von 2020 verwendet habe. Das war ein Färben für mich selbst, wenn ich eine bestimmte Farbe brauchte, die mir für ein Projekt fehlte, das ich gerade stricken wollte.

Aber dieses schöne Bio-Merino Aran-Garn war eines der ersten von der Natur inspirierten Heathland Knits Garne, das ich für jemand anderen gefärbt habe. Es war eine besondere, einmalige Farbe für ein Geburtstagsgeschenk. Gewünscht war ein Garn für eine nicht-schwarze Mütze, die nicht zu schrill sein sollte … aber auch nicht langweilig. Ich habe diese Farbe “Jungle Flame” genannt.

Ich habe die Mütze “Windschief” von Westknits aus diesem Strang gestrickt.
