Winter Dew, a machine knit shawl

EN | GE | NL

🇬🇧 The Winter Dew shawl is an effortless yet classic and timeless design. Ribbed edges add just a hint of texture. The shawl is easy to combine and to wear. Add a tassel for an extra eye catcher.

Skills needed: Casting on; binding off; increasing, decreasing and reforming a stitch; and working stocking stitch.

Sample Sizes: 165 cm length, ~28 cm width; washed and dried flat.

Yarn weight:
Sport weight with 300m/100g

Sample scarf usage:
Heathland Knits Ramerino, a hand-dyed merino and ramie blend in sports weight with 300m/100g, usage 299 m (99 g)

Machine: Bulky / Chunky gauge machine (9 mm needle distance), stitches will be hand manipulated – no punch card slot or second bed (ribber) needed. The sample was knitted on a Brother KH-260 with MT 2.

Gauge (10×10 cm): 22 stitches and 30 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 x 10 cm in stocking stitch; washed and dried flat. If you can accept small deviations in size the gauge is not crucial.
